The project is situated in a very central and important location of Hanoi, where there are stripes of buildings dedicated to important activities: the Department of Defense in the East, the Thang Long Citadel Heritage Site in the Middle part and the central Headquarters and Embassies on the West. Ba Dinh Square-Bac Son heightens the ceremonic formality of the area for political activities nationally and internationally. Historical and political space intersects at No.18 Hoang Dieu, where it will become a public open space in the area, bringing the outdoor activities: recreation space, meeting space, spacewalk / exercise or playground for children.

The Archaeological Park of 18 Hoang Dieu has 4 gates in the surrounding streets to welcome visitors from all directions. Following the orientation of cultural and tourism development of the city, the main gate will be placed on Hoang Dieu Road in order to connect directly to the Imperial Citadel, creating a cultural and historical ensemble.

The Park has one access to connect directly with the exhibition area in the basements of the National Assembly. This exhibition tunnel also allows underground access to the Citadel.
